MATERIALS AND TOOLS:

• Any smooth, not very stretchy yarn – cotton or microfibre is perfect. I used Alize Diva (100% microfibre, 350 m / 100 g): grass green and blue, about 1/3 skein each.
• Cotton embroidery floss or Iris yarn (or Vita Pelican) in black, light blue and white for the eyes, spots and outlines.
• 16 spike beads for the thorns (I used Czech pressed glass spikes 5 × 13 mm).
• 1.0–1.5 mm copper wire, about 2 m.
• Polyester stuffing, crochet hook to suit your yarn, tapestry needle, scissors, wire cutters.
