MATERIALS AND TOOLS:
--------------------------------------
• Red, pink, bright green and a little brown yarn for the main parts – I used VITA Cotton Coco (100% mercerised cotton, 240 m / 50 g).
• Some white fuzzy yarn for the sleeves, hat and coat trim – I used ALPINA Baby (53% polyester, 47% bamboo, 210 m / 50 g).
• Leftovers of fuzzy yarn for the beard – I used NAZAR Swan’s Down (100% polyamide, 170 m / 100 g).
• Steel hooks: 1 mm (US steel 12, UK steel 6 1/2) for the main yarn, 1.5 mm (US steel 8, UK steel 4 1/2) for the fuzzy yarn and 3.5 mm (US E/4) for the beard.
• Any stuffing; a wooden stick to stuff tight places.
• Plastic-covered copper wire for the frame (I used a little over 90 cm of 3 mm wire); fabric-backed plaster tape 1–1.5 cm wide for the wire ends.
• 2 plastic eyes (7 mm) and glue for the eyes.
• Leftovers of black yarn for embroidery (I used Iris).
• 2 small green buttons.
• White sewing thread to sew on the beard; sewing needle and tapestry needle.
• Beads of different colours to decorate the Christmas tree.
