MATERIALS AND TOOLS:

• Hairy yarn – I used Alize Angora Real 40 (480 m / 100 g), half a skein, together with Alize Kid Royal (500 m / 50 g), approx. 20 g.
• Smooth yarn of the same weight for the legs, horns and membranes – I used Vita Brilliant (380 m / 100 g), approx. 30 g.
• Leftover smooth cotton yarn for the eye whites and teeth (or felt / plastic clay).
• Toy eyes 12–16 mm, stuffing, strong cotton thread for sculpting and sewing, transparent glue.
• For movable arms: 2 cotter pins (2 x 20 mm), 4 M3 washers and 4 plywood or cardboard disks (10–15 mm).
• A small piece of plastic card for the wing membranes and soles; dry pastels and black embroidery thread (optional).
• Crochet hook to suit your yarn, round pliers, a hard paintbrush, Velcro tape or slicker brush.
