Lucky is a small, fluffy dog with a big shiny black nose, goggly eyes, long floppy ears and a striped back – a funny little friend who fits in your hand. Make him in brown and cream or in any colours you like.
A crochet pattern by Olga Borisenko with step-by-step instructions and photos. Make the nose from leather or crochet it, the eyes and tongue from felt or crochet them – instructions for both are included.

MATERIALS AND TOOLS:

• 2 colours of any slightly fluffy yarn – I used ANGORA RAM (60% acrylic, 40% mohair, 500 m / 100 g) in white and brown.
• Smooth yarn leftovers: black for the nose and pink for the tongue (I used Iris).
• Hooks to match the yarn – I used 1.25 mm (US steel 10, UK steel 5 1/2) for the toy and 1 mm (US steel 12, UK steel 6 1/2) for the nose and tongue.
• Stuffing; black beads 4 mm.
• Optional: a small piece of white felt for the eyes and pink felt for the tongue (crochet instructions are also given); a piece of leather for the nose.
• Sewing needle with a big eye, sewing thread in matching colours, and a tapestry needle for sculpting.
• Optional for tinting: paint or brown eyeshadow (or pencils, sandpaper and a brush).
• A wooden stick for stuffing hard-to-reach places; Velcro or a brush for combing the toy.
