MATERIALS AND TOOLS
--------------------------------------
• Yarn:
- 25 g of green yarn for the body, hat, arms, and legs.
- 15 g of beige or pink yarn for the head, nose, and ears.
- A small amount of white yarn is needed for the collar and socks.
- Note! All three colors should have approximately the same meterage (yardage), 400m/100g preferably. I used “Detski Kapriz” from Pehorka (Fingering/4 ply yarn, 60% Merino, 40% Microfiber, 225m/50g).
• Steel hook matching the yarn weight. I used 2 mm (US steel hook 4, UK steel hook 2 1/2).
• Small amount of polymer clay for the white of the eyes.
• Two small black (green or brown) beads or half-beads for the pupils of the eyes or safety eyes. I used 5 mm (0.2 inches) in diameter.
• Any stuffing.
• Single core copper electrical wire 1 mm diameter. I used approximately 200 cm (78.7 inches). Use only copper wire for the frame as copper can better stand bending compared to aluminum. You can buy it at electric supplies stores.
• Small amount of green wool for felting hair (you can use different types of green and a little bit of brown).
• Tapestry needle.
• Transparent glue.
• Sewing thread of matching colors.
• Coarse needle for felting (to felt the hair onto the head) - optional.
• Fake eyelashes – optional. You can find them at any beauty shop.
• Any decoration – small bells, balls, etc. (optional).
• Any tinting (optional) like Eyeshadow or pencils. I used oil pastel.
